Privacy

What speech.name processes, why, and how to exercise your rights over it.

What we process

We process a Clerk user identifier for sign-in, together with the email address and, for Google sign-in, the Google account identifier that Clerk records; the content you choose to publish in your record, which is public by design when you mark it public; Marketplace procurement and entitlement state if you have a paid plan; operational and security logs; and, only if you use the metered watermarking add-on, audio you upload.

A record is a public statement. Anything you put in a handle, display name, statement or grant note is intended to be read by anyone.

Why we process it

To authenticate you, to publish and resolve records, to prevent abuse, to meet legal obligations, and to fulfil a Marketplace order where one exists. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data to train models.

Retention

Records persist until you delete them, and their version history is retained because the registry's value depends on being able to state what a record said on a given date. Uploaded audio for the watermarking add-on expires after 24 hours. See data retention for the full schedule.

Sharing

We disclose data only to the subprocessors necessary to run the service, listed on the subprocessors page, and where required by law.

Your rights

To access, correct, export or delete your data, contact legal@gridheap.com from the account address, stating the scope of your request. We verify the requester first. Deleting your account withdraws your record from public resolution; we retain the minimum records required by legal, security or financial obligations.
