Data retention
Audio is short-lived processing data. Records, commercial facts and security facts are kept only as long as the service and the law require.
Audio
Source audio, verification recordings and generated audio expire 24 hours after creation. The application refuses to read an expired object immediately, a background reaper deletes expired objects every 15 minutes, and a Blob Storage 1-day lifecycle rule is the final backstop. Blob soft delete is held at its one-day minimum, so deleted audio is not left in a customer-recoverable state. Public verification uploads stay in memory for the request and are never stored.
Voice samples
A sample enrolled for verification or for a listing is kept while the verification or the listing depends on it and deleted when you remove it. The demo generated from a listing is deleted with the listing.
Records and grants
Records persist until you delete them. Version history is retained, because the question that matters after a dispute is what a record said on a given date, not what it says now. A published record is public by design.
Licences, usage and payouts
Licence records, metered usage, payout statements and marketplace order and entitlement events are retained for idempotent recovery, customer support, dispute handling, tax and audit, for as long as those obligations can reach them. Deleting an account removes deletable customer content and retains only these minimum records.
Watermark payloads and fingerprints
A fingerprint is retained for as long as the licence it was issued under can be disputed. A payload assigned to a deleted or transferred account is revoked rather than reissued, because audio in circulation must never resolve to a different identity than it did when it was made.
Logs
Operational and security logs are kept for 30 days.

Data subjects and customer administrators can contact legal@gridheap.com. We verify the requester's relationship to the account or the organisation before acting.
